DURATION OF STUDIES

The duration of studies in the M.Sc. is set to three (3) academic semesters, which include the period during which the M.Sc. thesis will be developed.

The maximum duration of studies is set to six (6) academic semesters.

Students of the M.Sc. programme who are employed, can be enrolled as part-time students. Students in this category must present proof of employment for at least twenty hours per week. Accepted documents for proof are employment contracts and employer certificates.

Partial studies are also foreseen for students that are not employed but cannot undertake the load of full-time studies. Indicative reasons for enrollment as part-time student are health issues, family issues, military service, force majeure etc. The minimum studies length for part-time studies is five semesters, while the corresponding maximum period is ten semesters.

The M.Sc. student can apply for a temporary suspension of his/her studies, providing the necessary justification. The suspension time cannot exceed two consecutive semesters. The semesters of studentship suspension are not accounted for the calculation of the maximum duration of studies.
