Quality assurance principles

The Quality Assurance Policy (QAP) of the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications is fully inline with the quality assurance policy of the University of Peloponnese and reflects the core values of the Institution.

The Department ensures for the assurance and bringing up of the quality of its teaching, research and administrative work, aiming at the continuous improvement of its operations with the participation and contribution of all its members. The Department organizes and implements M.Sc. programmes of high standards in the fields of Information Technology and Telecommunications, oriented towards the contemporary trends of science and cutting-edge technologies, thus strengthening its academic identity and the connection with the needs of the labour market. Additionally, the Department is committed to developing a creative research, innovation, and employment environment for all teaching, research, and administrative staff, as well as a creative academic environment for its students. Quality is recognized as fundamental to the realization of the vision and the achievement of the mission of the Department, and therefore it is important to create a culture of quality.

Specifically, the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications and the M.Sc. "Computer Science" are committed to the implementation of the quality policy, which strengthens academic excellence, as well as the orientation of the postgraduate study programme. In addition, the quality policy ensures the participation of all stakeholders involved in the implementation of the strategic goals of the programs through clearly defined actions and means of achieving them, while applying the appropriate internal and external quality procedures with the ultimate goal of their continuous improvement. In addition to the above, the Department ensures the existence of a culture of communication and cooperation within the Department's academic community (teachers, researchers, students, administrative staff, and other interested parties).
